LIFE HAPPENS

To utilize our PAST DATE ticketing policy, bring your unused and unscanned ticket to the box office on the day of the performance you wish to attend – no earlier than 15 mins prior to curtain. If you have misplaced or did not pick up your ticket(s) from your original performance, you will need to provide the name on your original reservation. If accommodations can be made for that day’s performance, our box office attendant will get you sat closer to curtain in the available seat(s).

Please note COMPARABLE SEATING IS NOT GUARANTEED.

It may be necessary to attempt our PAST DATE ticket policy on more than one occasion as this accommodation is based solely on ticket availability and at the discretion of the box office. Cancellation line will take priority over past-dating opportunities in the case of a sold-out performance.

CONTENT WARNINGS

At MCC our mission is to provoke conversations that have never happened and otherwise never would.

The power of the work we do is often in the unexpected and unpredictable moments that leave audiences talking long after they leave the building.

In this spirit, we make a concerted effort to not give away anything that could detract from the overall experience of discovery.  We understand this is not always ideal for those who prefer to know exactly what to expect before they arrive, particularly if there are themes and content that may cause distress. Our Audience Services team is always happy to discuss the specific themes and topics of any of our productions with you in-depth and one-on-one before you book your tickets. Email us at  audienceservices@mcctheater.org anytime.

We are proud to take part in Playwrights Welcome, which offers available tickets to professional playwrights on the day of a performance, free of charge. To receive a ticket through Playwrights Welcome at our theater:
  • Writers must present their matching physical or digital Dramatists Guild Membership Card when requesting a ticket – no exceptions.
  • Must show up no earlier than 2 hours before curtain and no later than 15 minutes before curtain.
  • Must be aware that they may be given a partial view seat.
  • A seat will be issued by Box Office team closer to curtain on a standby basis. Cancellation or rush lines will take priority over standby tickets.
  • If special accommodations are needed regarding seating – please email us in advance with your preferred date(s) and DG Membership number to audienceservices@mcctheater.org
Playwrights Welcome is a new program developed for Dramatists Guild of America Members by Samuel French along with Dramatists Play Service, Dramatic Publishing, Music Theatre International, Playscripts and Rodgers and Hammerstein. The goal is simple: to provide free access to theatre for playwrights, composers and lyricists. We are invested in the success and artistic health of our industry’s writers, and by extension the vibrancy of the American theatre. We’re also aware that attending theatre is an integral part to how writers learn their craft and grow as artists.
