Attention New York City High School Students!

Then the MCC Theater Youth Company (YC)
may be for you!

YC is a free after-school program for New York City high school students looking to develop their acting and dramatic writing skills.

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!!!

There is a mandatory orientation and a mandatory audition coming up soon!  We seek committed, enthusiastic and energetic students
devoted to learning about theater.

Orientation: Tuesday, October 6, 4:30-6:30
Auditions: Thursday, October 8, 4:30-6:30

Both orientation and auditions will be held at NYU's Black Box Theater, located at 82 Washington Square East

Students can be part of the Acting Lab, Playwriting Lab, or both:

Acting Lab members meet every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 at NYU and collaborate to create original monologues, scenes, spoken word pieces, music and poems. Every spring, the Acting Lab performs their original play, UnCensored, at an off-Broadway theater.

Playwriting Lab members meet every Monday from 4:30-6:30 and develop their own original scripts.  Plays come to life with professional actors and directors through readings and performances throughout the year!
