About Who's Who Press Multimedia
September 12, 2001. The twin towers are down and the world has changed overnight. Two people, a married man (believed to be among the victims of the tragedy) and his boss (and mistress) are holed up in her apartment contemplating their next move: return to their old lives or run away and start anew. This one-night-only reading features Emmy Award-winner and MCC Theater board member Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife," MCC's Intrigue With Faye) and Paul Rudd (This is 40, Grace on Broadway).
Originally produced in 2002, The
Mercy Seat was among the first dramatic works to respond to the
events of 9/11 and marked the first collaboration between MCC
Theater and Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute.
Join us as we celebrate the extraordinary 10-year collaboration between MCC Theater and Neil LaBute--a partnership that has yielded seven productions of new plays, including this spring’s Reasons to Be Happy. Proceeds from this event will benefit MCC Theater’s new play development programs, including the Playwrights’ Coalition and free PlayLab reading series.
