About Miscast
MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala is one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town. Broadway’s hottest stars perform songs from roles in which they would NEVER be cast. And the results are thrilling!

“The year’s funniest revue!” –The Huffington Post
“[The] Miscast gala stands out in a sea of social events.” –The Wall Street Journal

Performers from past years include Uzo Aduba, Beth Behrs, Kristin Chenoweth, Cynthia Erivo, Raúl Esparza, Tina Fey, Harvey Fierstein, Ana Gasteyer, Jonathan Groff, Megan Hilty, Cheyenne Jackson, Brian D'Arcy James, Jeremy Jordan, Jane Krakowski, Linda Lavin, Zosia Mamet, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kelli O'Hara, Steven Pasquale, Billy Porter, Lea Salonga, Aaron Tveit, and many other lights of stage and screen.

Special guests have included Edward Albee, Lewis Black, Charles Busch, Bobby Cannavale, Andy Cohen, Allison Janney, Judith Light, Julianna Margulies, Helen Mirren, Isaac Mizrahi, Chris Noth, Sarah Paulson, Mo Rocca, Jerry Stiller, Holland Taylor, Marisa Tomei, and Kathleen Turner, among others.

Funds raised from Miscast help MCC Theater produce some of the most talked-about new work Off-Broadway and support our Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as our literary development work with emerging playwrights.
